Coimbatore: City-based Lakshmi Machine Works Advanced Technology Centre (LMW-ATC) has delivered its first 'Air Intake Assembly' to Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL).
The component will be used in Tejas Mk1A, an advanced fighter jet indigenously developed by the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) division of HAL.
In a tweet on X on November 8, LMW-ATC announced the successful handover of the component to HAL.
HAL signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with LMW-ATC on October 19, 2022, to manufacture 40 sets of Air Intake Assembly during the DefExpo 2022 at Gandhi Nagar in Gujarat.
LMW-ATC contributed to the success of Chandrayaan-III, launched in July 2023.
