At LMW, corporate responsibility is not an obligation. It’s a commitment we live by. Guided by the belief that true progress is inclusive, we actively work to uplift the communities around us through focused, long-term initiatives.

Our CSR efforts drive real impact across education, skill development, employment generation, and rural infrastructure. They empower underserved communities and build pathways to self-reliance.

Rooted in trust, fuelled by purpose, and driven by people, LMW stands as a socially conscious organisation that goes beyond business and shapes a better tomorrow, one initiative at a time.

CSR pillars background

Four pillars for LMW’s CSR outreach

LMW supports spine surgeries and plastic and reconstructive procedures in collaboration with hospitals in Coimbatore. Patients receive rehabilitation aid, including vocational skill training to support livelihood recovery.
Specialized equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches, and standing frames is also provided based on individual needs.

Spine Surgery, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Surgeries

We collaborated with the Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare Association to screen and support tribal communities affected by Sickle Cell Anaemia. Since the project’s inception, 11,660 individuals have been screened, including 1,458 screenings during 2024–25, enabling early diagnosis and continued medical support.

We partnered with Idhayangal Charitable Trust to support children from economically weaker families living with Type-1 diabetes. During 2024–25, 60 children received assistance, including insulin pens, glucometers, and other essential supplies to help them manage their condition effectively.

LMW supported the Aravind Center for Excellence in Genetic Interventions for Sight (AEGIS), a research initiative focused on inherited eye diseases. The project screened 1,220 individuals, with 785 patients enrolled in the ARIDE registry, advancing genetic diagnosis and treatment research.

Eye screening camps were conducted in collaboration with a leading eye hospital across schools in Coimbatore district. During the year, 9,612 children were screened in 12 schools, with 412 students receiving corrective glasses to improve their vision.

Health check-up camps and awareness programs were conducted across villages to improve preventive healthcare. With support from LMW, 35 medical camps screened 4,828 individuals, while hygiene awareness sessions in 63 schools reached 2,221 children, promoting better health and sanitation practices.
